Buying and selling private number plates was originally a hobby for James Saperia in the mid 1990's. James wanted to make enough money to get a deposit together to buy his first house. He learned the trade and became familiar with the DVLA paperwork, systems and procedures.

The house was purchased in 1999. However, James discovered he really enjoyed the satisfaction that came from helping someone acquire their ideal personalised registration.

James had already done business with some of the established cherished number plate dealers. Friends would also come to James for help and advice in relation to number plate transfers. It therefore made perfect sense to continue this rewarding enterprise and in February 2005 Simply Registrations was formed.
